Description:
Blauhilde is a German heirloom French bean which produces beautiful purple stringless pods, 30cm in length, which turn green on cooking. Vigorous, productive vines reach 2.4 metres in length with rose-purple flowers before producing bunches of fleshy pods. Good resistance to Bean Mosaic Virus. Beans best picked at 10-12 cm. Do not eat the pods raw, as they contain harmful toxins. Good producer from soil or containers.
