Description:
Traditional English bi-colour bean grown since 1596, possibly named for Queen Elizabeth I. This fine flavoured old variety also adds colour to the vegetable garden with its attractive red and white blossoms. The medium-length pods (25-35cm) have a rich, full flavour and are produced over a long season if picked regularly. Vines grow to 3 metres in length. The flowers are edible and make a colourful garnish. Grows well from soil or containers.
