Description:
Based a short distance from Melksham, near Bath in the South West of England, Jamie Sythes and his family had been fans of spicy food for a number of years and had often used ornamental chillies to decorate their home. Primarily their chillies were sourced from local supermarkets, but they found the selection to be highly limited with more interesting varieties appearing rarely, if at all. During 2010 after having been inspired by showing off a few home grown chilli peppers at the local pub, Jamie decided to try his hand at growing a few of the more exciting varieties himself.
Needless to say the hobby soon escalated to a passion and from there an addiction, and by mid-February the excitable Jamie had planted over a hundred seeds of varying types. With the realisation that the window sill was somewhat limited there was only one solution, to purchase a small greenhouse which was shortly followed by a somewhat larger poly tunnel.
