The classic Italian paste tomato, this heirloom indeterminate originates from the small town of San Marzano sul Sarno, near Naples, Italy. A red plum variety, the flesh is much thicker with fewer seeds, and the taste is stronger, sweeter and less acidic. Ideal for bottling, cooking or making tomato sauce or puree. Fruit will continue to ripen in the kitchen.
